1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, or using Email Ruler ("the App"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
2. Description of Service
Email Ruler helps you manage unwanted email by scanning your inbox, identifying bulk senders, and creating blocking rules. The App connects to Gmail and Outlook through their official APIs. An optional AI analysis feature classifies senders using machine learning.
3. Account & Authentication
- You must sign in with Apple or Google to use the App. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials
- You must separately connect your Gmail or Outlook account to grant the App permission to read email headers and manage rules
- You can revoke these permissions at any time through your Google or Microsoft account settings
4. Subscriptions & Payments
- Email Ruler offers a limited number of free actions. Additional actions require a subscription (monthly or yearly), managed through Apple's App Store
- Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase
- Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period
- You can manage or cancel subscriptions in your device's Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions
- Prices may vary by region and are subject to change
5. Acceptable Use
- You agree to use the App only for its intended purpose of managing your own email
- You may not use the App to access accounts you do not own
- You may not attempt to reverse-engineer, modify, or exploit the App or its services
- You may not use the App to violate any applicable laws or regulations
6. Actions & Undo
When you create blocking rules or delete emails, these actions modify your actual email account.
The App provides an Undo feature for most actions, but successful restoration depends on your email provider's policies (e.g., Gmail permanently deletes trashed emails after 30 days).
You are responsible for reviewing actions before confirming them.
7. AI Analysis
The AI analysis feature is optional and uses AI services to classify email senders.
AI results are estimates and may not be 100% accurate. You should review AI suggestions before acting on them.
Subject lines are redacted before being sent for analysis. Email bodies are never transmitted.
8. Privacy
Your use of the App is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes what data is collected and how it is used.
9. Disclaimers
THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED.
WE DO NOT GUARANTEE THAT THE APP WILL BE ERROR-FREE, UNINTERRUPTED, OR THAT ALL EMAILS WILL BE CORRECTLY CLASSIFIED.
WE ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR DATA LOSS RESULTING FROM EMAIL PROVIDER LIMITATIONS (SUCH AS GMAIL'S 30-DAY TRASH RETENTION).
10. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SNICKITYBIT SOLUTIONS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE APP, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF EMAILS, MISSED COMMUNICATIONS, OR SERVICE INTERRUPTIONS.
11. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time for violation of these terms. You may stop using the App and delete your account at any time.
12. Changes to Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
13. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, United States, without regard to conflict of law provisions.
