SnickityBit Solutions LLC values your privacy. Avionvera keeps your aircraft record on your Mac. You don't need an account or sign-in, there is no sync and no analytics, and nothing leaves your Mac unless you ask for one of the optional features below.
1. Your Record Stays on Your Mac
The flight recordings you import, the analysis Avionvera produces, your maintenance records, logbook pages, documents and notes are stored on your Mac. We don't receive or keep copies of them, except material you explicitly send us for support, described in section 4.
2. No Analytics, No Sign-In
Avionvera contains no analytics, telemetry, advertising or crash-reporting frameworks, and there is nothing to sign into.
3. Optional AI Features (OpenAI)
Two features are off until you add your own OpenAI API key, and each one sends something only when you start it:
- AI answers send your question and a summary of Avionvera's own analysis of the flight. They don't send your raw recordings or GPS positions. You can see what will be sent before it goes.
- Logbook reading sends the logbook page images you choose.
These requests go directly from your Mac to OpenAI under your own key; we never see them. Avionvera asks OpenAI not to store responses, but OpenAI's own data-use and retention policies still apply to what is sent. Your key is kept in your Mac's Keychain and is never sent to us.
4. Support and Feedback You Send
If you choose to send a feedback report, or a recording Avionvera couldn't read, it is uploaded to our support service so we can investigate. Nothing is sent until you press the button, and the app shows what will be sent first.
To accept an upload, the support service gives your copy of the app an anonymous identifier. It isn't linked to your name or email, and you never sign in. Along with the file, the service records a submission reference and service details such as the time, size, file type and fingerprints of the file (hashes).
The support service runs on Google Firebase, which stores and processes submissions for us. When a submission arrives, our email provider sends us a notification containing only those details, never the file. We use submissions only to support you and improve the app. We don't sell them or use them for advertising.
Uploaded files are kept for 30 days and are then scheduled for deletion. Deletion runs automatically and can take a few days to complete. The submission reference and its details are kept as a history of what was received after the file itself is deleted. To ask for a submission to be deleted sooner, or its details removed, contact us and quote the reference the app showed you.
5. Children
Avionvera is intended for aircraft owners and pilots and isn't directed at children.
