1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using MetarBoard Pro ("the Service"), including the web application at metarboardpro.com and companion Fire TV and Android TV apps, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.
2. Not for Flight Planning or Navigation
The Service is for informational and educational purposes only.
MetarBoard Pro is NOT a certified aviation weather product and must NOT be used for:
- Flight planning or dispatch
- In-flight navigation or decision-making
- Any operational aviation purpose
Weather data displayed in the Service may be delayed, incomplete, inaccurate, or unavailable. Always obtain official weather briefings from approved sources (e.g., 1800wxbrief.com, official NOAA/FAA services) before any flight.
You assume all risk associated with any use of information provided by the Service.
3. Data Sources and Accuracy
The Service displays weather data from the NOAA Aviation Weather Center and airport diagrams from the FAA Aeronautical Information Services. These are public US government data sources. The developer does not control, guarantee, or warrant the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of this data.
- METAR observations may be stale or unavailable for some airports.
- Airport diagrams may be outdated between AIRAC cycle updates.
- Runway and frequency data from OurAirports is a community-maintained dataset and may contain errors.
- Crosswind calculations are mathematical estimates and do not account for local terrain, gust variability, or other real-world factors.
- Trend charts show historical data that may have gaps due to station reporting schedules.
4. Accounts and Authentication
Some features require a free account. You may sign in with Google or create an email/password account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
- You must provide accurate information when creating an account.
- You are responsible for all activity under your account.
- We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
5. Free Trial
New users receive a 14-day free trial with full Pro access upon creating an account. When the trial expires:
- Your account reverts to the free tier with limited functionality.
- Saved dashboards are preserved but some features (extra panes, fast refresh, trend charts, etc.) become unavailable until you subscribe.
- On TV apps, a banner indicates the trial has expired.
6. Subscriptions and Billing
MetarBoard Pro offers paid subscription plans processed by Stripe:
- Monthly: $8/month, billed monthly.
- Annual: $72/year (equivalent to $6/month), billed annually.
Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period until you cancel. You can cancel at any time through the Stripe billing portal (accessible from the gear menu in the app). Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — you retain Pro access until then.

7. TV Apps and Pairing
MetarBoard Pro companion apps for Fire TV and Android TV display dashboards configured via the web application. TV apps connect to the web service through a QR code pairing process.
- TV apps require an internet connection to function.
- Dashboard content on TV reflects the subscription tier of the account used during pairing.
- TV apps load content from metarboardpro.com — availability depends on the web service.
8. Privacy
Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes what data is collected and how it is used.
9. Intellectual Property
- The Service and its original code, design, and documentation are the property of SnickityBit Solutions LLC.
- Airport diagrams are produced by the FAA and are US government works in the public domain.
- Weather data is produced by NOAA and is US government data in the public domain.
- Airport and frequency data is sourced from open-source community datasets under their respective licenses.
10. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.
THE DEVELOPER DOES NOT WARRANT THAT:
- The Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure
- Weather data will be accurate, current, or complete
- Crosswind calculations will be correct for any given situation
- The Service will be compatible with all devices or browsers
- TV apps will function on all TV models or firmware versions
11. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, THE DEVELOPER SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUE, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, USE, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM:
- Your use of or inability to use the Service
- Any reliance on weather data, crosswind calculations, or other information displayed by the Service
- Any aviation incident or decision made based on information from the Service
- Any unauthorized access to or alteration of your data
- Any interruption or cessation of service
- Any issues with payment processing by Stripe
12. Third-Party Services
The Service relies on third-party services (NOAA, FAA, Google Firebase, Stripe) that are outside the developer's control. The developer is not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or policies of these services.
13. Modifications
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be reflected by an updated "Effective Date" at the top of this document. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
14. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States and the State of Texas, without regard to conflict of law principles.
